Certification

Increase your Career and Salary Opportunity! Certified Facility Professionals earn $11,411-$17,074 more than non-certified plant managers based on a recent survey. AFE is the Facility Engineering Certification Body offering the following certifications:

  • CPE: Certified Plant Engineer
  • CPMM: Certified Plant Maintenance Manager
  • CPS: Certified Plant Superviser

Maintain your Certification

AFE is one of the best resources in the Twin Cities to acquire continuing education units (CEU’s). Five to eight CEU's are required every five years to maintain your certification. Three to five units are earned by continuous employment in the facility-engineering field. AFE Twin Cities Chapter 13 will help you earn the remaining CEU's through educational events conducted throughout the year.

Peer Networking

AFE Twin Cities Chapter 13 holds 9 events per year that provide fun and interesting opportunities to meet with facility industry professionals. These events range from facility tours and presentations to golf tournaments and comedy shows. Members benefit from the interaction at these events by meeting industry peers, learning about facility trends, best practices, and current technologies.

Educational Webinars

AFE's virtual classes provide a one-stop educational resource for the plant/facilities engineering, operations, and maintenance professional. Classes are a minimum of 60 minutes in length and are taught by an experienced representative from the field. In addition, each course equates to 0.1 CEU or recertification credit for individuals currently holding AFE credentialing (CPE, CPMM or CPS). VIRTUAL SEMINARS ARE FREE FOR MEMBERS BUT CARRY A CHARGE FOR NON-MEMBERS.

Facilities Engineering Journal
